WHICH MODEL?

V2 or V2Pro — which do I have?

Two quick looks tell you — and don't go by the “V2” badge, because every unit has it. This guide covers the Club Booster V2.

1

Look at the two arms near the small ground rollers at each end of the drive unit. Is there white printing on them?

Printed “V2PRO” (left) and “SPDLOC” (right)

You have the Speedlock system = V2Pro. Go to step 2 to find your exact version.

Plain, with no printing

You have a base V2 — you also tighten a hand cam lever and your push cart keeps bolted brackets. You're on the right guide.

A base V2 also has wheelie bars — they're just unlabeled. Decide on the printing, not on whether arms are present.

2

Only if you saw “V2PRO” / “SPDLOC”: look at the two clamps gripping the axle, plus the console sticker.

Light-gray clamps + a green “CORRECT SIDE TO FACE USER” sticker + one adjustable stopper plate

Factory V2Pro (A11). Use the V2Pro guide.

Black clamps marked “L” / “R” + four separate stopper plates

You added the Speedlock Upgrade Kit to a V2. Follow the Speedlock upgrade-kit steps below. For replacement parts (battery, brackets) you're still on the V2 line.

HEADS UP The “V2” badge is printed on every unit, so don't use it to decide. The battery, charger, remote, app and speeds are identical across V2 and V2Pro.

GETTING STARTED

What's in the Box

Before your first use, read this guide in full and check that all components are present.

Club Booster V2

The main power unit.

Left & Right Brackets

With (4) bolts, (4) washers and (4) nuts. Brackets are specific to your cart brand and model.

Remote Control Unit

Drives the cart wirelessly.

Remote Control Mount

Holds the remote on your cart.

Battery Charger

Use only the supplied charger.

Micro USB Charging Cable

For charging the remote controller.

Wheelie Bars

Stability bars fitted to the unit.

CHECK FIRST Brackets are cart-specific — make sure the brand and model on the box match your push cart. Use care not to pinch your fingers when connecting the Club Booster to your cart.
V2PRO? Have a factory Club Booster V2Pro (Speedlock quick-release, no bolted brackets)? The Brackets and Setup steps here are for the V2 — see the V2Pro guide instead.
CHARGING

Charging the Battery

The battery ships at a very low charge. Charge for at least 5 hours before your first round so it lasts the full 18 holes.

1
Plug the charger into the charging inlet.
2
The LED turns red when charging begins.
3
When complete, the LED changes from red to green.
4
A full charge takes about 4 hours from a low level.
5
You can check the battery level by switching on the console while charging.
Charging the Club Booster battery — red LED while charging, green when full

Charger

Input 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Output 42 VDC, 1.5 A max. Use only the manufacturer-supplied charger.

Temperature

Charge between 10–30°C (50–86°F). Charging below 10°C / 50°F may damage the battery cells.

IMPORTANT Unplug the charger once charging is complete — this prolongs battery life. Charging overnight on a regular basis is not recommended. Do not charge outdoors; store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
BRACKETS

Installing the Brackets

Brackets are specific to a cart brand and model. Confirm the brand and model on the box match your cart before installing — see the Compatibility finder.

Tools you'll need

Phillips screwdriver, and an open-end, adjustable, or socket wrench (for the wheel nut, strut pivot nut, and bracket nut).

Before you start

If your push cart has a rear-wheel braking mechanism, remove it before removing the rear wheels.

1
Remove the rear wheels from your push cart.
2
Remove the wheel pivots on both sides.
3
Slide the bracket onto its corresponding strut tube — the opening of the axle clamp should face away from the cart. Align the holes and fasten with the bolt, nut and washer.

SETUP

Setting Up Before the Round

1
Unfold your push cart.
2
Fully extend the wheels on your Club Booster.
3
Place the axle clamps onto the axle. Make sure the clamps sit on the flat surface of the axles — not on the plastic end caps.
4
Fully tighten the cam lever on the axle clamp. Reverse these steps to disassemble after the round.

TIP If the wheelbase needs adjusting for your cart, use the "Adjusting the Wheelbase" adjustment before tightening the cam lever.
OPERATE

Using the Controller

Practice in an open area first to get a feel for accelerating, decelerating, steering and stopping. The remote is rated to about 50 yards and often reaches 100+. Two-way communication stops the cart automatically when the remote is out of range.

Remote control button guide: LED indicator, Go / Speed up, Stop, Left and Right turn, Reverse / Speed down, Gyro on/off, keypad lock, distance timers, Micro USB port

Go / Speed Up

Press to move forward. Each press raises the speed by one of six levels.

Stop

Press to halt the cart immediately.

Back / Speed Down

Hold to reverse; release to stop. Also lowers the speed level.

Speed Levels

Six levels, starting at Level 1. After any stop, the next Go restarts at Level 1. Slow to the lowest speed near greens and tee boxes.

Steering

Press Go, then hold Left or Right for smooth turns — quick taps cause jerking. Fixed-wheel carts may not steer at speeds 3–6, so slow down before turns. Turning radius is best at slower speeds.

Gyroscope (G)

Keeps both motors at the same speed so the cart tracks straight. On by default; press "G" to disengage (the yellow LED turns off).

Distance Timers

Two presets — 15 and 30 yards — automatically stop the cart after the selected distance.

Free-Wheel Mode

In tight spaces, hold "Stop" for 3 seconds to release the electronic brake (red LED blinks) and push by hand. Press any button to restore normal mode.

CONCRETE Avoid turning under motor power on concrete — it can cause misalignment or damage. Push the cart by hand in parking lots.

REMOTE

Pairing the Remote

Your Club Booster V2 comes factory-paired with its remote. If they stop communicating, you can re-pair manually.

1
Power off the Club Booster.
2
Press and hold "Stop" and "30" on the remote — the upper-left LED starts to blink.
3
Power on the Club Booster — the upper-left LED turns solid, meaning it's paired.
LED The upper-left LED on the remote shows pairing status: blinking in pairing mode, solid when successfully connected.
SPEEDLOCK UPGRADE KIT

Speedlock Upgrade Kit (Legacy)

These steps are for the original Speedlock upgrade kit (black left/right clamps and four separate stopper plates) that converts a Club Booster V2. Have a factory V2Pro? It ships pre-assembled with the newer Speedlock system — universal gray clamps and one adjustable stopper plate — so see the V2Pro guide instead.

Show the original upgrade-kit installation steps
ORIENTATION Before you begin, know your left from your right: clamps marked "L" go left, "R" go right (markings face inward). Wheelie bar marked "V2PRO" goes left; "SPDLOC" goes right. The console handle must face the cart wheel, and the "V2" logo faces you when standing behind the cart.
Orientation check: the V2 logo faces you, the SPDLOC wheelie bar sits on the right, and the handle faces the front wheel

Step 1 — Replace the Clamps

1
Remove the two existing screws and detach the current clamp system.
2
Install the new clamps — left clamp ("L") on the left, right clamp ("R") on the right, with the L/R markings facing inward at the rear position.
Step 1: remove the old clamp screws, then fit the new L and R clamps with the markings facing inward at the rear
WASHERS Washers are only required for CG3 and CAD brackets. For other brackets, just make sure the screw protrudes enough through the nylock nut for a secure hold.

Step 2 — Add the Stopper Plates

The stopper plate sets your axle tube to the right length for your cart, so you don't have to re-adjust the tube length every setup.

1
Remove the lower screws from the endcap of the Club Booster V2.
2
Attach the stopper plate to the endcap stiffener using the M4×10 Allen screw and M4 washers.
3
Secure the endcap stiffener to the endcap using the spacer and M4×20 Allen screw.
Step 2: remove the endcap screws, attach the stopper plate to the stiffener, then secure the stiffener to the endcap

FINDING THE FIT Not sure or model not listed? Test the included lengths — start with the longest and work down. The fit is right when the clips sit comfortably on the mount. Some trial and error is normal, even for popular models.

Step 3 — Install the Wheelie Bars

1
Remove the existing set screws.
2
Install the top mount using the M3×10 Phillips screws and M3 washers.
3
Attach the wheelie bars using the M4×10 Phillips screws — "V2PRO" on the left, "SPDLOC" on the right.
4
Rotate the wheelie bars beneath the Club Booster and position the new clamps onto the top mount.
5
Lock the clamps by pivoting the wheelie bars outward.
Step 3: remove the set screws, install the top mount, then attach the wheelie bars
WARNING Only pivot the wheelie bars outward from this position. Pivoting from the wrong side — or setting the console up backward and pivoting the bars backward — can damage the wheelie bars and void the warranty. Always orient the console correctly before every round.

Wheelie bars won't lockBars on the wrong sides ("V2PRO" not on left); console orientation wrong; debris in the clampsVerify "V2PRO" is on the left; handle must face the cart wheel; clean the clamp mechanism
Clamps feel looseMissing washers (CG3/CAD brackets); screws not through the nylock nuts; wrong clamp orientationAdd washers if needed; tighten until threads emerge; L/R markings must face inward
System rattles during useLoose stopper-plate screws; wheelie bars not fully extended; missing spacersRetighten the M4×20 screws; pivot the bars until they click; verify all 4 spacers are installed
BEFORE FIRST USE Do a tug test on all components, and check stability on flat ground before use. Never force parts — if something doesn't fit easily, re-check the orientation and your model. Monthly: inspect screws for looseness; after any impact, verify stopper-plate alignment.

FAQ

Common Questions

How long should I charge before the first round?
Charge for at least 5 hours before first use. After that, a full charge from a low level takes about 4 hours.
How far does the remote reach?
The remote is rated to about 50 yards and often reaches 100+. Thanks to two-way communication, the cart stops automatically when the remote is out of range.
Why won't it turn sharply?
Fixed-wheel carts can't steer well at higher speeds (3–6) — slow down before turns. Swivel-front-wheel carts turn more easily. The turning radius is always best at slower speeds.
How do I push it by hand in tight spaces?
Hold "Stop" for 3 seconds to release the electronic brake (free-wheel mode) — the red LED blinks. Press any button to restore normal mode.
How do I update the firmware?
Use the Alphard Golf app: select "Alphard Golf", enter the default password 123456, go to Setting, choose the firmware version and install the update.
Which bracket do I need?
Use the Bracket Compatibility Finder above. If your cart isn't listed, email tony@alphardgolf.com with your brand, model, the measurement between the back wheels, and photos.
What's the difference between V2 and V2Pro?
The V2Pro clamps onto your cart in seconds with the Speedlock quick-release system — no bolted brackets. Newer factory V2Pro units use universal gray clamps and one adjustable stopper plate; see the V2Pro guide. If you bought the original upgrade kit for a V2, see the Speedlock upgrade kit section below.
